DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) â" Presidential contender Rick Perry pronounced there are 8 Supreme Court justices, not nine, and flubbed Justice Sonia Sotomayorâs name in an editorial house assembly during The Des Moines Register.
Perry met with a house Friday. He struggled for 6 seconds to come adult with Sotomayorâs name, afterwards primarily called a probity âMontemayor.â A member of a newspaperâs editorial house helped him out with a scold name.
He went on to impugn âeight unelected and honestly unaccountable judges.â Nine justices lay on a Supreme Court. They are nominated by a boss and reliable by a Senate.
Similar gaffes have tormented Perry. On Thursday in South Carolina, he corrected himself after observant a U.S. is during fight in Iran instead of Iraq.
